Emerging from rich, melodic waves of synth washes & echo laden vocals the Colour of Time's signature sound is a cerebral, mood driven mixture of styles. The audible influence of Tangerine Dream, Cabaret Voltaire & early Ultravox blurs into shadowy reminiscence of Dead Can Dance defining a sound which falls somewhere between the early output of labels such as 4AD, ON-U Sound and Waxtrax. Between 1998 & 2006 Jamie O'Callaghan has embarked on a musical voyage embracing a legacy of electronic & classical influences ranging from Debussy to Kraftwerk. With a strong musical background rooted firmly in classical origins his first solo work came from a symphonic / progressive rock angle receiving accalim in the pages of dutch prog-rock magazine IO. Inspired to continue along similar lines Jamie enlisted the help of Hans Schepens and around 2001 The Colour of Time was formed in Eindhoven. An intitial 'Queen's Day' live performance was followed by their first recorded album 'Jazz, but not as we know it'. COT's next studio outing, 'Let the machine talk' maintained a progressive edge with a nod to the cold, mechanical rhythms of John Foxx. Evidence of another strong influence on COT's music is present here. Another native live appearance at the Muzenval Theatre in Eersel was followed by the third album 'Amber Skies'. Emerging idealogical differences between Hans Schepens & Jamie O'Callaghan lead to a split in 2003 leaving Jamie to pursue COT as a solo project. 2004 brought the recording of 'Neon', a collection of sparse instrumental offerings edging toward the dancefloor. After returning from a solo tour of the Czech Republic COT performed electronic renditions of Debussy & Satie pieces at a charity event organised for victims of the atrocities of Beslan. Encore performances of Ultravox classics Hiroshima Mon Amour & Just For a Moment were well recieved by all in attendance. After the loss of a friend to cancer in early 2005 COT ceased production until Jamie re-established contact with an old colleague in the UK, John Curry. They collaborated to record 'Long Ago' produced in the Netherlands & the UK. Maintaining the characterisitic COT sound Long Ago has a broader oulook offering upbeat energy & thoughful moments. It also marks a return to vocal territory with compliments of sitar, violin & lusher production all round. John Curry has since remained part of the COT Line up. 2006 has seen a fresh line up for COT and 2 new recordings. Neon Winds, recorded in February, is an ep awash with ambient panoramas of vintage synth & hypnotic, female vocal drones. A substantial taste of the mellower moments glimpsed in previous releases. Memories of Water, completed in August is the newest collection of compositions and alongside Neon Winds possibly COT's strongest to date. Jamie O'Callaghan has recently composed 'theremin concertos with Orchestra' for the Theremin soloist Lady Sayoko of Japan. He is also recording new material for another musical project A Better Blue. The Colour of Time are: Jamie O’Callaghan: Voice, Theremin, electric violin/viola, electronics Sitar Linda Swinkel: Voice Melanie Nijs: electronics, vocoder John Curry: Guitar, electronics (Collaborated from A Better Blue) Tjitse Letterie: Violins

Girls That Scream began as a social experiment in 2004, when the government decided to run a series of simple experiments to clarify just how hard young people can party. After several hundred different party aids were administered, participants of the study were gathered in a dancehall. For the next thirty minutes, Girls That Scream were sent onto the stage to perform. The results of the study are said to be so terrifyingly disturbing they have never been released, to this day the government refuses to admit to whether these experiments actually ever took place. It is thought Girls That Scream have stolen the party aids and are planning something quite sinister and evil against the scene you know, the scene you love, the scene you eventually will abandon.
Mark Johnson is one of Britain's brightest pop music hopes. His traditional English pop songsongs sear with melodies and captivate with heart felt lyrics. If you were to mix synthpop, epic orchestral swirls, an occasional guitar, then you will have Silver Factory Superstars.
Crash Repeat are a two-piece live electro band. Often improvising, they bring together a range of techno and 80's synth influences alongside busy rhythms, eclectic drum loops and weird vocals. Smitt and Crossen met in 2003 at one of Birmingham’s many depressing admin offices. Between shuffling papers they decided to collaborate on some progressive dance tracks and worked together on and off whilst Crossen, a keyboard musician and would-be producer since the age of 12, also made music for independent films and produced music for other bands. Eventually, in January of 2005, they joined up on a more permanent basis with two other artists to form electro-funk band ‘Jamaha Fut’. After a short run Jamaha Fut broke up but Smitt and Crossen, encouraged by their new sound, continued to work together under the name Crash Repeat. Stu has come a long way since his first 8 track sequencer and now spends almost every free minute programming new loops and sounds into an array of synthesizers and processors. When not dancing to Breakbeat or Techno, Smitt writes lyrics linked closely to his interests outside of the band, bringing together seemingly random subject matter, including everything from comic books to politics. During live sets they keep a loose improvised feel to the proceedings, Crossen develops the beats, bleeps and rhythms from behind his equipment whilst Smitt leaps about, energized by the music, keeping the crowd on their toes. They’ve played together now in a few placed across the West Midlands, recently taking part in a ‘Battle of the Bands’. Now they’ve got their eyes fixed on the dance-floors of Birmingham and the Black Country, eager to play for those with an ear for non-commercial, unconventional electro-techno.
The $hit are the FIRST, BEST and ONLY Electro-Punk Casio-Crunk Fuck-Rock Glitch-Pop Disco-Metal Post-NintendoCore beat combo in the world... EVER! Armed with an array of cheap electronic instruments and an even cheaper wardrobe, The $hit have dragged their shambolic live show kicking and screaming across the UK - from triumphantly storming Oxford's TRUCK FESTIVAL to causing chaos at a London fashion week catwalk show and generally kicking the brains off kids all over the country, destroying stages with the likes of MC LARS, TO MY BOY, TRASH FASHION, SIMON BOOKISH, and GOLDIE LOOKIN CHAIN, leaving a trail of tinnitus and a number of very unhappy soundmen in their wake. Their first demo, recorded with only a minidisc player, an Argos mic and an Atari ST, was placed in the top 5 of PLAYLOUDER.COM's singles of the week, and future demos received radio airplay from RADIO 1 and KERRANG! FM. In the summer of 2006, their debut album 'Lock Up Your Ghettoblasters!!!' - recorded in a ramshackle home studio and released on their own DIY label - Shit Music - was released to rip-roaring reviews across the internet, national press and fanzines across the globe. Oh, apart from two people who hated it. Now, as they release their new EP to the world, The $hit are rocking HARDER, FASTER and LOUDER than ever before, and the foursome of Brian International, Queen Phuz, That Bloody Cat, and... um... D@V£ are getting ready to absolutely pwn brains all over the world. It's time to get with the program... before the program gets you. Various released are available to buy from the site.

From humble beginnings Amongst The Pigeons grew forth from the internet forums of yesteryear. Music took hold and recognition was quickly gained on the airwaves of Radio One thanks to Rob Da Bank. A successful EP ’wings wings: beat’ was released in Summer 2005 which included Firefly and the classic la la la la la laa song. Shorty after this CAT went into a studio to work on new tracks. Hiding Began. That solitude will soon be over when the 1st LP proper will be released towards the end of 2008. It features not only blips and beats but some rather special guest vocalists. Currently running with a working title of ’music to brush your teeth to’ its gonna be a good old listen.
The Entranced Compilation EP, can now be heard in full at, Dan’s mp3.com.au, where the tracks can also be downloaded individually. Click on "view all" in the player to access the EP. They’ll be a zipped direct download of the entire EP up this weekend. This wasn’t written as an EP, so as the title says, it’s an assortment of tracks written for whatever reason. I opted against re mastering it, and the tracks are all in their original form, so levels may vary etc. I kept it raw, and just threw them in there. This EP contains 7 of the better known tracks to have at one time or other appeared on my myspace page last year, along with the brand new "Entranced - one in a million rmx". The track listing is: 1. Entranced - one in a million rmx 2. The World 3. More Rope To Hang Me 4. Entranced - musSck RMX 5. Trust 6. All I Had To Work With 7. There It Goes
Gary has had a very keen interest in music for many years. Synthesizers have fascinated since I first heard them on records by Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, OMD, Ultravox, The Human League and Depeche Mode. It was in the late 80's when I decided to write my own songs. I formed a studio band with a good friend of mine Ray Naughton and things clicked into place very quickly and we wrote and recorded around 20 songs in a similar style to OMD & Erasure (Vince Clarke has been a big influence with my Synthpop music probably, the biggest influence of all). They were very raw recordings made on a cheap Amstrad 4 track recorder. From there I progressed on to using an Atari computer and sequencer software packages alongside a Drum Machine. I recorded more electronic pop material and also some video soundtrack music. I wanted to develop my skills in creating music utilising computers and have recorded about 8 or 9 Cds of material using Samples, Drum Loops and Drum Machines. The music in this field covers Dance, Trance, Chill-out & Hip Hop styles. This side of my work has been recorded under the name The Definition Of Sound. It is a collection of material I am very proud of. I have over the last 2 or 3 years returned to Synthesizers and re-recorded a lot of the material I did with Ray to a much higher standard and in addition I have written numerous new songs and done some cover versions. One cover version I have done is a track of OMD's called "Of All The Things We've Made". This was included on an american release tribute album called "We Love You 2". I am very proud that my version of the song was worthy of inclusion on the CD. My latest project is an interesting one as I have decided to record an album of Ambient/soundtrack Music and decided I would only use layered strings, Choir sounds and piano. It has resulted in me learning Cubase, a programme I have wanted to use for some time. So far 15 songs have been written and I am currently working at mixing those. Moby's ambient music has been the key influence with this material. I decided to send in 3 of the tracks to the BBC for inclusion on a natural history programme and whilst I was n't successful I did get through the first stages which I am very pleased about. The three songs sent to the BBC were called "The Long Goodbye", "Quiet Splendour" and "Broken Flowers". Gary recently produced various cover versions and artist inspired tracks from the likes of Krafterk, Gary Numan and John Foxx.
